A nice afternoon for the 4-piece lineup (Jimmy, Roscoe, D-Squared and Tie-Dye) on a rare Sunday booking at the lovely Yalaha Bakery.
Tossed a few new wrinkles into the sets, with mixed results. Added a few ballads that might qualify as love songs for Valentine’s Day, “for those who celebrate it,” as JC said from the bandstand.
Also offered a long-distance dedication of Bob Dylan’s “When I Paint My Masterpiece” to retired scribe Bo Poertner, now the pride of Lompoc, Calif. (JC and Bo used to do a version of that one long ago.)
We return to the bakery on March 18.
