With thanks to the Simple Cavemen for the blog space, Jimmy Carl offers this quick report on the debut of his summer solo side project on Sunday at Yalaha Bakery.
Many thanks to the responsive crowd, especially Joe, who shared how much “Gentle On My Mind” meant to him and his father. Likewise, DanO, already Cavemen fan, was very encouraging about JC’s prospects as a solo act. All much appreciated.
Jimmy Carl’s next solo slot is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Yalaha Bakery.
The Simple Cavemen, meanwhile, are on the bill for a Gram Parsons Tribute Show and benefit from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at The Friendly Confines on South Orange Avenue in Orlando.
