Simple Cavemen set list: Yalaha Bakery, May 25

It was a beautiful afternoon on Saturday at Yalaha Bakery for the Simple Cavemen’s last visit until fall.

A big crowd of old friends and new ones was receptive to our songs about Disasters, Samosa Girls, Texas and the blues, flavored by odd little guitars and wah-wah pedals.

Although the band won’t be back at the bakery until September, Jimmy Carl has a slate of solo Yalaha gigs through the summer, starting on June 2.

Much thanks to the folks at Yalaha Bakery for all the support.

Here’s what we played:

Set 1. Friend of the Devil (Grateful Dead cover); The Weight (The Band cover); Disaster; Samosa Girls; Jukebox Serenade; You Got Me Runnin’ (Jimmy Reed cover); One Less Gamblin’ Man; Isn’t It a Pity (George Harrison cover).
